What types of paving do we have?

We do many different projects and come across different types of paving. In the past, however, not many different types of paving were made in the Netherlands, which limits the choice. We no longer have the old Dutch waaltjes (small Waalformaat paving bricks) and their variants, owing to the enormous demand for them and because we mainly focus on old facing bricks and antique floor tiles.

Geeltjes and boerengeeltjes: Geeltjes, also known as boerengeeltjes or farmhouse yellow bricks, are small yellow bricks that create a warm atmosphere. They get their colour from the clay they are made of. Farmhouse yellow bricks mainly come from old farmhouses. They are ideal bricks for decorative paths, terraces and smaller paving projects.

IJssel paving bricks and IJsseltjes: IJssel paving bricks, often also called IJsseltjes, are small bricks from the region along the river IJssel. With IJssel bricks too, the type of clay influences the colour. They are special because of the history behind the bricks. IJssel paving bricks are also ideal for decorative paths in the garden, and they are suitable for a driveway as well.
