Delivery of reclaimed building materials in the Netherlands and Belgium
Need reclaimed building materials delivered? We arrange transport of old bricks, floor tiles, doors and other materials throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.
Delivery of reclaimed building materials
Have you found a batch of old bricks, floor tiles, doors or other building materials at Van Dillen Antieke Bouwmaterialen? You do not always need to collect it yourself. Depending on the product, quantity and destination, we can arrange transport to locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
From a single pallet to larger batches for an entire home or construction project, we assess which transport option is practical and appropriate for each order.
Delivery of reclaimed masonry bricks
Batches of reclaimed masonry bricks are generally prepared on pallets or in suitable containers or crates, depending on the batch and how it has been processed. Larger quantities may involve several pallets or a larger load.
Because old bricks can differ in size, weight and packaging, transport is based on the actual batch and quantity ordered. This avoids using a standard transport calculation that does not suit the order.

Delivery of reclaimed floor tiles
Reclaimed floor tiles are carefully packed on pallets or in crates for transport, depending on the tile type and batch. Historical floor tiles and traditional Dutch terracotta tiles can be heavy and need stable packaging during transit.
When you order a complete floor, we assess the total quantity, number of pallets or crates and access to the delivery address in advance.
Delivery of period doors and dividing doors
Old doors and period dividing doors can also be transported, depending on their size, number and destination. Complete room-dividing sets with stained glass, bevelled glass or large door leaves in particular require careful handling during transport.
The best transport method is therefore determined for each order. For fragile historical components, safe transport matters more than simply loading everything as compactly as possible.
What does transport cost?
Transport costs depend on several factors, so one fixed rate cannot apply to every order.
Important factors include distance, quantity of material, number of pallets or crates, weight, the vehicle type required and access to the delivery address.
If you have a batch in mind, tell us the quantity you want and the delivery postcode. We can then advise which transport option is suitable and what it will cost.
Delivery throughout the Netherlands
From our premises in Bolsward, we supply reclaimed building materials to projects throughout the Netherlands. Whether the destination is Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, North Holland, South Holland, Utrecht, Gelderland, Zeeland, North Brabant or Limburg, transport can be arranged in consultation with us.
Distance is therefore not automatically a reason to pass up a suitable historical batch. With larger orders, transport costs also often represent a relatively smaller share of the total project cost.
Delivery to Belgium
Delivery to Belgium is also possible. We supply materials for private and commercial projects and can arrange transport to different Belgian regions.
Because cross-border transport and larger batches can vary by situation, we calculate the options and costs using the actual order and delivery location.
What should you consider before delivery?
Preparing the delivery location properly prevents delays and extra work. Tell us in advance about any unusual conditions, such as a narrow street, restricted entrance, soft ground or limited manoeuvring space.
It is also important to agree in advance how the goods will be unloaded. The options differ by transport arrangement and vehicle. Do not automatically assume that every delivery can be unloaded using a crane, truck-mounted forklift or pallet truck.
Make sure there is enough room on site to place pallets, crates or other packaging safely.
Can I collect my order myself?
Yes, collection can also be arranged. This may be useful if you have suitable transport or want to organise transport yourself.
Agree the collection time with us in advance so that the batch can be prepared and it is clear which vehicle and loading space are required.
Delivery for large construction and restoration projects
Larger projects may involve many pallets of bricks or hundreds of square metres of flooring. Transport then becomes a matter of planning as well as delivery.
We can agree in advance how much material will be carried per load and how delivery fits the project’s progress. This is particularly practical where the building site does not have enough room to store the entire batch at once.

Transporting unique historical batches
Reclaimed building materials are different from new factory-made products. A historical batch is finite and cannot simply be ordered again if material is unnecessarily damaged during transport or storage.
We therefore pay attention to suitable packaging and transport methods. This applies to heavy batches of old bricks and floor tiles, and especially to fragile doors, stained-glass components and other distinctive materials.
