These small Frisian yellow bricks measure approximately 18 x 4 cm and belong to the classic narrow yellow masonry bricks used in traditional Frisian and Dutch masonry. In Dutch, this format is also known as a drieling. The small brick creates a fine, lively facade, while natural apple-blossom tones provide warm variations of yellow, soft orange and light red.

The bricks are suitable for restoration, repairs to old facades, garden walls and new construction where a traditional material is deliberately chosen. The small format requires relatively many bricks per m², creating a very different appearance from larger modern bricks. Old batches always have slight variations in size and colour. We therefore recommend reserving enough material from one batch to achieve a consistent result.

When matching existing work, we can advise based on photographs, brick size and required quantity. Our stock of old masonry bricks also includes larger Frisian yellow bricks, IJssel bricks and other old yellow handmade and moulded bricks.
