These glazed old Dutch floor tiles are authentic terracotta tiles with a weathered glazed surface and natural colour variation. The batch includes yellow, green, brown, red, orange, black and grey reduction-fired tones. The combination of sheen, wear and variation gives a floor a character that is difficult to reproduce with newly made tiles.

The common size in this batch is approximately 16 cm, although old tiles always show slight differences in size and thickness. They are suitable for halls, kitchens, living rooms, toilets and other interiors where a strongly historic floor is desired. They can also be used with underfloor heating. The colours can be mixed for a lively composition or selected to create a calmer palette. Browse our traditional Dutch terracotta floor tiles for other glazed and unglazed batches.

For larger floors, reserve enough tiles from the same batch and mix tiles from different crates while laying. This distributes colour, wear and patina evenly across the room. Ask about the currently available colours, sizes and quantities.
