These old moulded bricks, cleaned of old mortar and measuring approximately 21 x 5 cm, have a warm red-purple variation with visible traces of their previous use. The combination of different firing shades and light lime residue gives the masonry depth and makes the facade immediately recognisable as genuine old material.

The format and appearance suit buildings from the early and mid-twentieth century. The batch can therefore be useful for repairs or extensions to 1920s, 1930s and 1940s architecture, as well as for new builds requiring an old, varied facade brick. Because old bricks always have small differences in colour and surface, we recommend mixing bricks from several pallets while laying them. This distributes the variation naturally across the facade and avoids an artificial colour pattern. Lime traces can remain visible when a distinctly reclaimed character is desired.
