Red Rijnformat Bricks
see description -10% (ex. VAT)
- Size : 17-19 x 4
- Stock : 10.000 stuks subject to availability
NOTE: This is a batch with available good HEADS, there is a lot of money to be saved, ask about the possibilities!
Price per brick excl. VAT (heads available to lower the price, see below). Exact quantities to follow. Discounts are given for full batches or many halves.
NOTE: These are expensive bricks, this is not only a reflection of how rare and uniquely beautiful these bricks are, but also a reflection of the huge amount of labor that goes into them. Because these bricks are extremely soft, they must all be chipped and shaped in a special way to save as much as possible, a very specialized and labor-intensive job.
However, we have preserved the heads, which are not fully chipped and cost 60% of the price of a whole brick (2 heads = 1 brick = 60%). For a half-brick cross bond, you can thus lower the price nicely! In principle, the historical (half-brick) cross bond is 50% heads and 50% stretchers, here the price calculation is as follows; 1 brick = €2.25 / 2 heads = €1.35, average = €1.80 excl. VAT.
A very nice batch of real original old Dutch Rijnformat bricks, also known as Rijn bricks. These bricks are almost nowhere to be found anymore and certainly not in these quantities. It is an exceptionally beautiful mix of light and slightly darker red bricks with a hint of brown in between. Great warm and authentic nuance!
