Reclaimed floor tiles in Empe

For this atmospheric project in Empe, we supplied a beautiful batch of antique farmhouse floor tiles. A substantial quantity was needed to complete the existing floor during its renovation, because many of the original tiles were damaged during removal or could no longer be reused. Fortunately, we could provide a matching batch, preserving the floor’s authentic appearance.

The project combines grey reduction-fired and terracotta farmhouse floor tiles. Warm red-brown shades and cool grey-blue tones form a lively chequerboard pattern that perfectly suits a country home or historic building. Natural colour variations, centuries-old patina and artisanal production give every tile its own character, ensuring no two floors are alike.

Antique farmhouse floor tiles have been used for centuries in farmhouses, listed buildings and country homes. Their timeless appearance, robust quality and authentic character make them as popular as ever. Carefully supplementing an existing floor with comparable historic examples preserves its original character and creates a beautiful result that can last for generations.

We are proud to have supplied the antique farmhouse floor tiles for this project in Empe. The finished result shows how carefully selected reclaimed floor tiles can complete an existing floor without compromising the atmosphere or authentic appearance of the original.
