These old red floor tiles measure approximately 20 x 20 cm and have warm red variation with a distinctive ribbed underside. The batch is relatively uniform in size, making the tiles straightforward to lay and creating a calm floor without losing the authentic character of old floor tiles.

Natural differences in red, orange and terracotta keep the floor from looking flat or industrial. The tiles can be used indoors in kitchens, halls, living areas or utility rooms, for example, and are also suitable for underfloor heating. They can also be used outdoors when the foundation and installation method suit the application.

See our category of red floor tiles and the wider collection of old floor tiles for other sizes and shades. For a classic chequerboard pattern, red tiles can be combined with suitable grey reduction-fired tiles where dimensions and thickness correspond closely enough.

With old floor tiles, we always recommend mixing the complete batch and dry-sorting the tiles by size, thickness and colour before installation. This creates a natural pattern and allows minor differences to be accommodated neatly during laying.
