Dark handmade bricks in Petten

A beautifully dark-toned antique handmade brick was chosen for this extension. See the result here!

For the extension of this distinctive home in Petten, we supplied a beautiful batch of dark-toned antique handmade bricks. After comparing several types, the client chose an authentic handmade brick that complements the existing home while giving the extension a contemporary appearance full of character.

The dark handmade bricks feature rich colour variations, an artisanal texture and subtle irregularities. These qualities create a lively facade where no two bricks are alike. The characteristic surface and natural colour variation give it warmth, depth and authenticity.

Antique handmade bricks are increasingly used for both new construction and extensions because they blend effortlessly with existing buildings while creating a timeless appearance. Reusing historic building materials creates a unique facade and gives high-quality materials a second life.

We are proud to have supplied this special batch of reclaimed masonry bricks for the project in Petten. The finished result shows how authentic facing bricks can give an extension the same character as the original home, allowing old and new to meet naturally.
