Garden wall built with moulded IJssel bricks

A special project in Gouda where a garden wall was rebuilt with antique IJssel bricks.

For this project in Gouda, we supplied antique moulded IJssel bricks for a distinctive garden wall. Their warm yellow, cream and pale-brown colour variations complement the historic appearance of the city centre and create a timeless result with plenty of character.

The project uses carefully selected antique moulded IJssel bricks with a calm overall appearance and a natural mix of colours and textures. Combined with masonry piers and a coping course of red bricks, they form a classical garden wall suited to both historic and rural architecture.

Antique IJssel bricks are particularly effective in garden walls. Their traditional moulded texture, weathered surfaces and subtle colour differences give reclaimed masonry bricks an authentic appearance that new bricks can scarcely replicate. The wall therefore looks as though it has formed part of its surroundings for decades.

Reclaimed building materials are also a sustainable choice. These high-quality antique moulded bricks receive a second life without compromising their quality, appearance or durability. That makes them highly suitable for restoration projects and exclusive new builds alike.
