Moulded IJssel bricks in Middelharnis

A beautiful house built from authentic yellow IJssel bricks.

For this beautiful home in Middelharnis, we supplied approximately 15,000 antique moulded bricks in IJssel format. The carefully selected moulded facing bricks give the home a warm, authentic appearance, while natural colour variations create a lively facade full of character.

Antique moulded bricks immediately make a home look as though it has stood in its setting for generations. Every brick is unique and contributes its own character to the facade, something new machine-made bricks can scarcely replicate.

A light selection with subtle sand, cream and grey shades was chosen. Together with the light joint, it creates a calm and timeless facade that perfectly suits the home’s architecture. The IJssel format reinforces this effect through refined masonry and classical proportions.

Reclaimed facing bricks are also a sustainable choice. Reusing existing materials gives high-quality bricks a second life without compromising their quality or service life.

We are proud that our antique moulded bricks form part of this beautiful project in Middelharnis. The finished result shows how characterful authentic facing bricks create a unique and timeless appearance in both traditional and modern homes.

The facade was treated with hydrochloric acid to remove traces of lime and other dirt as thoroughly as possible.
