Old French terracotta tiles in a country interior in Middelstum

Antique French terracotta tiles used in Middelstum

In this characteristic home in Middelstum, authentic French terracotta floor tiles were used. The floor consists of original antique tiles whose warm reddish-brown tones, natural wear and unique surface create a timeless and atmospheric appearance.

Each tile comes from old French farmhouses and rural buildings, where the tiles served for hundreds of years. After careful removal, they are cleaned, checked and selected so they can be reused in renovation, restoration and new-build projects.

The variation in colour, structure and patina creates a lively floor that only becomes more beautiful over time. Antique French floor tiles combine well with both country-style and modern interiors and are suitable for living rooms, kitchens, halls and utility rooms. They can also be combined with underfloor heating.

Van Dillen Antieke Bouwmaterialen keeps a broad stock of original French and other antique floor tiles in various sizes, colours and selections, suitable for both smaller home projects and complete interiors.
