Red farmhouse floor tiles in Sint Annen

Old floor tiles in Sint Annen - Groningen

After seeing the project in Hellum in person, the owners were immediately convinced that their extension needed reclaimed floor tiles.

At our premises, they composed a beautiful mix of several antique red floor tiles, interspersed with the occasional worn green or yellow glazed tile. They laid, grouted and finished the complete floor themselves, creating a beautiful, honest piece of craftsmanship with a robust character.

For this atmospheric project in Sint Annen, we supplied reclaimed red farmhouse floor tiles. The handmade tiles form the basis of a characterful floor where authenticity, warmth and craftsmanship meet. Natural colour variations and an aged character make the floor a perfect fit for the home’s rural appearance.

Reclaimed red farmhouse floor tiles have been used for centuries in farmhouses, listed buildings and characterful homes. Warm terracotta tones, subtle colour differences and centuries-old patina give every tile its own appearance, creating a lively floor that modern tiles can scarcely replicate. These qualities make antique floor tiles particularly suitable for kitchens, entrance halls, living rooms and rural interiors.

A calm laying pattern lets the natural appearance of the reclaimed farmhouse floor tiles come fully into its own. Historic floor tiles and careful workmanship create a timeless floor that brings atmosphere and can last for generations. Reuse also gives high-quality historic materials a second life.

We are proud to have supplied the reclaimed red farmhouse floor tiles for this beautiful project in Sint Annen. The finished result shows how authentic floor tiles create a warm, characterful and timeless floor suited to both listed buildings and rural new-build homes.
