Reclaimed floor tiles in Kampen

For this beautiful renovation project in Kampen, we supplied a carefully selected batch of reclaimed Dutch floor tiles and a small batch of glazed traditional Dutch terracotta floor tiles (estrikken). The characterful floor tiles form the basis of an atmospheric interior where historic materials and modern comfort meet beautifully. After impregnation, the warm red colour variations come out even better and the floor gains a deep, natural appearance.

Reclaimed Dutch floor tiles have been used for centuries in farmhouses, town houses and listed buildings. Warm terracotta tones, subtle colour differences and aged patina give every tile its own character. These authentic qualities make antique floor tiles particularly popular for renovations, country homes and historic interiors.

During the renovation, centuries-old ceiling paintings were discovered on the original timber roof trusses. This remarkable find underlines the home’s historic character and makes the project especially unique. Authentic floor tiles and historic details preserve the building’s rich history beautifully.

We are proud to have supplied the reclaimed Dutch floor tiles and estrikken for this special project in Kampen. The finished result shows how authentic floor tiles contribute to a warm, timeless and characterful home in which history and craftsmanship come together.
