Moulded bricks for an extension in Staphorst

Red moulded bricks before pointing in Staphorst.

In Staphorst, part of a home needed repair and a new shed was to be built. We supplied 2 different, well-matched batches of reclaimed moulded bricks, relatively hard bricks with signs of age and light lime variations.

The 2 carefully selected batches of antique moulded bricks were used to repair the existing home and construct the matching new shed. Authentic reclaimed facing bricks allow both the extension and outbuilding to blend seamlessly with the existing buildings, preserving the distinctive appearance of the grounds.

The moulded bricks feature relatively hard quality, consistent dimensions and warm red-brown colour variations. Subtle lime shades and light signs of age give every brick a unique character, creating a lively facade that modern bricks can scarcely replicate. These properties make antique moulded bricks ideal for restorations, extensions and new construction seeking an authentic appearance.

The photographs were taken before the masonry was pointed. Even so, they clearly show how well the reclaimed moulded bricks work and how carefully the different batches were matched. Once pointed, the facade will complement the existing home and make the complete building look as though it has always formed one whole.

We are proud to have supplied the antique bricks for this project in Staphorst. The finished result shows how carefully selected historic facing bricks support a characterful extension where authentic materials, traditional masonry and modern comfort meet naturally.
